How we picked them

Leadership readiness weighed heavily here, because Dubai is investing in senior AI capability and buyers often need an executive session before any hands-on rollout. We also looked for Arabic or bilingual delivery, on-site availability across the emirates, and a clear stance on the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. Self-paced options stayed in for individuals who want a starting point before joining a team programme.

How to choose a Google Gemini trainer in Dubai and the UAE

  • Ask whether Gemini exercises can be run in Arabic as well as English.
  • Confirm which Google Workspace edition your licences include before booking.
  • Check that NotebookLM is covered for policy and research teams.
  • Request a separate briefing format for senior leaders.
  • Ask how the course treats personal data under the UAE PDPL.
  • Find out whether sessions can run at your office in Dubai or another emirate.

Leadership first: how Dubai is approaching Gemini skills

Much of the current momentum in Dubai sits at the top of organisations. The Dubai AI Academy, launched at the DIFC in April 2025, aims to train 10,000 leaders with partners such as Oxford's Saïd Business School, Udacity and Minerva Project. Dubai Future Academy complements this with practical workplace courses where Gemini is demonstrated alongside other assistants. The result is a market where executives increasingly understand AI strategy, and their teams now need the practical habits to match.

For Gemini specifically, demand usually comes from companies already running Google Workspace, where Gemini features appear inside Gmail, Docs and Meet. Buyers should check how a trainer handles data protection under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and, for firms in the DIFC or ADGM, the separate free zone rules. Arabic delivery matters for public sector and customer-facing teams. Short self-paced courses work for individuals, while departments generally benefit more from instructor-led sessions built around their own workflows.

Questions people ask

Some providers in the UAE, including Dubai Future Academy, run Arabic-language workplace AI sessions, and others offer bilingual delivery on request. Gemini itself handles Arabic prompts and drafting reasonably well, but teams should learn to review tone and terminology carefully. When you brief a trainer, state whether handouts and practice prompts also need to be in Arabic.
Not usually. The Dubai AI Academy focuses on leaders and AI strategy, which helps executives set direction and policy. Day-to-day Gemini use in Gmail, Docs, Sheets and NotebookLM is a separate skill that most staff build through practical workshops. Many organisations combine both, sending senior people to strategy programmes and booking team training for departments.
Google has changed how Gemini is packaged in Workspace several times, so the answer depends on your current contract and edition. Check with your Google reseller or admin console before training begins. A good trainer will adapt exercises to the features your licences actually include, so staff are not shown tools they cannot open.
DIFC firms follow the DIFC Data Protection Law rather than only the federal regime, so training should reflect your compliance team’s guidance. The safest approach is to practise on sanitised or sample documents and agree in advance which data classes may be used with Gemini. Involve your data protection officer when setting the workshop scope.
The Skillopedia team does not publish fees for any provider, because costs vary with headcount, language, number of sessions, customisation and whether training is on-site or online. The practical route is to send a short brief to two or three shortlisted trainers and compare the proposals they return, including what follow-up support is offered.
